Partner With Us for the Urban Youth Challenge

In early 2017, we were excited to learn that the Noble Foundation had agreed to a $50,000 matching grant that would allow Nature Knowledge to launch a new environmental education program for students in urban areas. In order to access the grant, we need your help to match the funds! Here’s what your donation means:

  • The construction of outdoor learning spaces in 10 schools located in under-served communities.
  • A travel fund that supports bus rentals for 25 classrooms to visit the nearest national park for the day.
  • 5 scholarships for college-bound teens to attend our summer Cleaning and Greening program.
  • Professional development opportunities for 30 teachers through the Environmental Education Association.

All kids need to learn and play outside.

Young students in our country’s big cities need more room and opportunities to explore nature in hands-on ways. For more than a decade, Nature Knowledge has worked to bridge that gap by getting kids into our national parks – but we can do more with your help.

If you’re as excited as we are to reach more deserving students, please consider setting up a monthly donation this year that will bring us closer to our $25,000 goal to meet the match. And stay tuned for updates on our blog and through email. We can’t wait to tell you more about the Urban Youth Challenge, our new partners in the project and the communities we hope to work with.
